The GG2 Leadership & Diversity Awards in association with Pladis recognise and reward high achievers within black, Asian and ethnic minorities groups and celebrate the very best of multicultural Britain. The awards will be presented at the 24th annual GG2 Leadership & Diversity Awards on Tuesday 5th March 2024 in central London.

Nominations will close on Friday 19 January 2024. Entries received after will not be considered.

GG2 Spirit in the Community Award

Awarded to an individual or organisation for outstanding work in the community.

GG2 Inspire Award

Presented to an individual or organisation for outstanding work in the community, which has served to inspire young people.

GG2 Outstanding Achievement through adversity

Awarded to an individual who has overcome hardship and adversity to achieve a significant level of success.

GG2 Young Achiever Award

Presented to a young person aged 35 or under who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, brings about change and who is an inspiration to communities.

GG2 Social Entrepreneur Award

Awarded to an individual who has brought about positive change and social good in the community and society at large.

GG2 Young Journalist of the Year

Awarded for outstanding work in the media. The GG2 Young Journalist of the Year Award is open to all journalists aged 35 or under who has proved to be outstanding in print, digital, online, radio or television journalism. The winner is entitled to an optional work experience placement at the Daily Mail newspaper.

GG2 Woman of the year

Awarded to an individual for consistent high achievement.

GG2 Man of the Year

Awarded to an individual for consistent high achievement.

GG2 Hammer Award in association with Pladis

Awarded to an individual who has broken through the glass ceiling.

GG2 Blossom Award

Presented to an individual, a group of individuals or an organisation for outstanding work in the community promoting wellbeing and community spirit.

GG2 Embrace Award

This award will be presented to an individual or organisation that has embraced local and diverse communities and fostered partnerships to enhance community cohesion

GG2 ED&I Initiative Award

Awarded to an individual or organisation for an outstanding and impactful ED&I initiative which has accelerated change within the organization and created a better working environment and sense of belonging and well being.

GG2 CEO of the Year

Awarded to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, brings about change, innovation, and built a culture of belonging and inclusion across the organisation.

GG2 Diversity Champion of the Year

Awarded to an individual for outstanding work in putting diversity at the heart of the organisation’s agenda and for tirelessly championing the values of equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace and beyond.

GG2 Diverse Employer of the Year

Awarded to an organisation (public or private sector) for championing diversity and inclusion in the workplace, making demonstrable progress in diversifying their talent pool and creating an inclusive working environment. Nominees must demonstrate inclusive recruitment, retention and promotion strategies and their impact within the organisation.

GG2 Advertising Agency of the Year

Presented to an advertising or marketing agency which has actively diversified its media marketing mix and outreach to engage and connect with diverse communities. Nominees must demonstrate the use of diverse multi-media platforms which includes print and digital.

GG2 Marketing Campaign of the Year

Presented to an advertising or marketing agency for its use of diverse role models and ethnic imagery in a creative media campaign that engages diverse audiences. Nominees must also demonstrate the use of diverse multi-media platforms which includes print and digital in how they reach ethnic communities.

GG2 Local Government of the Year

Awarded to a local council or government department for outstanding work in putting diversity higher up the agenda, making demonstrable progress in diversifying their talent pool and creating an inclusive working environment. Nominees must demonstrate inclusive recruitment, retention and promotion strategies and their impact within the organization. Nominees must also demonstrate how the organization has engaged and reached out to diverse communities in the delivery and impact of its services.

GG2 ED&I Award for Excellence in Law

Awarded to a professional law practice for championing diversity and inclusion in their workplace, making demonstrable progress in diversifying their talent pool and creating an inclusive working environment. Nominees must demonstrate inclusive recruitment, retention and promotion strategies and their impact within the organization.

GG2 ED&I Award for Excellence in Accounting

Awarded to a professional accounting practice for championing diversity and inclusion in their workplace, making demonstrable progress in diversifying their talent pool and creating an inclusive working environment. Nominees must demonstrate inclusive recruitment, retention and promotion strategies and their impact within the organization.

GG2 ED&I Award for Excellence in Property

Awarded to an organization in property sector and ancillary services for championing diversity and inclusion in their workplace, making demonstrable progress in diversifying their talent pool and creating an inclusive working environment. Nominees must demonstrate inclusive recruitment, retention and promotion strategies and their impact within the organization.

GG2 ED&I Award for Excellence in STEM

Awarded to an organisation operating in science, technology and engineering sectors for championing diversity and inclusion in their workplace, making demonstrable progress in diversifying their talent pool and creating an inclusive working environment. Nominees must demonstrate inclusive recruitment, retention and promotion strategies and their impact within the organization.

GG2 Charity of the Year

Awarded to a charitable organisation for outstanding work in championing diversity, making demonstrable progress in diversifying their talent pool and creating an inclusive working environment. Nominees must demonstrate inclusive recruitment, retention and promotion strategies and their impact within the organization. Nominees must also demonstrate how the organization has engaged and reached out to diverse communities in the delivery of their charitable activities and services.

GG2 Diverse Board of the Year

Awarded to a board of a private company for outstanding work in championing diversity, making demonstrable progress in diversifying their talent pool and creating an inclusive working environment. Nominees must demonstrate inclusive recruitment, retention and promotion strategies and their impact within the organization.

GG2 Police Force of the Year

Awarded to a police force for outstanding work in championing diversity, making demonstrable progress in diversifying their talent pool and creating an inclusive working environment. Nominees must demonstrate inclusive recruitment, retention and promotion strategies and their impact within the organization. Nominees must also demonstrate how the force has engaged and reached out to diverse communities in their policing duties.

GG2 Non-Executive Director of the Year

Awarded to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution as a non-executive director.

GG2 Independent Agency of the Year

Presented to a marketing agency for their innovative multicultural marketing. Nominees must demonstrate their use of diverse multi-media platforms which includes print and digital.
